Dr. Gregory M. Jungman

Dr. Gregory M. Jungman D.D.S was born in Minnesota where his mother was from and also has roots in Iowa where his father was raised. He grew up in San Diego from age 5 through college, where he attended San Diego State University. Dr. Jungman was married 29 years to Kathie, with children Chris, Mike and Tim. Chris and Mike live in Boulder and Tim lives in Denver. Dr. Jungman received his bachelor’s degree in Biology- Pre-dental, and for Dental School he attended the University of Iowa. After completion he and his wife Kathie returned to San Diego in 1974.

Dr. Jungman spent two years in the Navy, holding the chairman position of Oral Diagnosis and Preventative Dentistry at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego. In 1976 Dr. Jungman and his family moved here to Summit County, Colorado where he started his practice in Dillon that year. In the fall of 1995 he began working to open Breckenridge Family Dental, joined by Dr. Robert C. Meister. The new office, located in the City Market shopping center opened in the fall of 2000. Dr. Jungman also headed the design and opening of the Kremmling office in 1999. Besides dentistry, Dr. Jungman’s primary interests include hunting and fishing, scouting, and his children’s activities. He teaches Hunter Education, has spent 12+ years as Scoutmaster and is on the Division of Wildlife committee.

Dr. Stephanie Barnett

Dr. Stephanie Barnett, D.M.D was born and raised in Skiatook, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Barnett went on to attend dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating with her DMD in 2010. After completing dental school Dr. Barnett began her career in Tuba, Arizona working on the Navajo Reservation until 2012.

As a young girl, Dr. Barnett developed a deep love for the mountains- as her family would take a yearly ski trip, traveling from her small town in Oklahoma to Keystone, Colorado. It was in the winter of 2012 that Dr. Barnett was finally able to combine her passion for dentistry and her love of skiing by moving to Summit County. It was during this time that Dr. Barnett volunteered with the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, implementing their mission of ‘expanding the potential of people of all abilities through meaningful, educational, and inspiring outdoor experiences.’ Dr. Barnett began working for the Summit County Community Clinic in 2013. Dr. Barnett worked to provide dental care for the under-served population of the area for the next five years, acting as the Dental Director in her final year with the Care Clinic.

When she is not providing excellent dental care, Dr. Barnett enjoys hiking, biking and skiing.

Dr. Pelster

Dr. Pelster grew up in a small town in Western Nebraska and later attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for his undergraduate studies in Nutrition Science. He later attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center – College of Dentistry for his dental education. Dr. Pelster continued his education by completing an advanced education in general dentistry program at the Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Pelster had the honor of caring for the hospital’s veteran population while learning advanced techniques and procedures in endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and implant dentistry. Upon completion of this program, Dr. Pelster moved to Colorado and eventually settled in Summit County. He strives to provide quality and comfortable care for all of his patients. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, skiing, hiking, and reading.

Dr. Richard McLain

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Richard McLain was born in Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate education as well as dental school. Dr. McLain graduated from dental school in 1996. He then completed a one year surgical internship at the University of Nebraska. After internship, Dr. McLain practiced as a general dentist for two years in Denver, Littleton and Castle Rock. Dr. McLain entered the Oral & Maxillofacial Residency Program at Denver Health Medical Center in 1999. He completed this 4 year program in 2003. After this residency, he completed a Cleft Lip and Palate Craniofacial Fellowship at the children’s hospital in Cuernavaca, Mexico. He then entered private practice in the Denver Metro area. Dr. McLain is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is a member of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Colorado Society of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also volunteers his time with the Rose Medical Center Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center. In his free time, Dr. McLain enjoys spending time in the mountains, brewing beer and attempting to complete home improvement projects in a timely manner.
